Tentative concepts

As we already build our team last week, now it’s time to finalize the product what we are going to develop. After receiving the instructions of team assignment and scenario, we started to think about selecting the topic and narrow down it. As we were asked to come up with some future trend related technology, so tried to think out of the box and come up something realistic which will be the future trend. So, we agreed to have a deep look on the given topics and questions. Then we did brainstorming, researched for 2 days and now we started to get more focused what we are going to do.  
The course teacher gave multiple options and from them, we could select one product to develop. After did research all the topic we think we will select a topic which we know well. All of us came with some interesting idea and in between them choosing and finalizing was hard, but luckily, we all agreed on a single idea. Cheers for us!!! We found something which will work to help in the education system and to make the teaching system easy, flexible and maybe will add some motivation also 😊 the main idea was how the future classroom will look like. When we started thinking about the future classroom. many ideas came to our mind. Then finally, we decided to develop a holographic teaching display by which teacher can give a lecture from anywhere in the world that will save time and give flexibility to the teacher.
For implementation, we thought to give real classroom feeling to the student by including voice communication system along with this product through this, the student could interact, ask a question, and get the reply from the teacher.
Initially, this is the scheme of our project. From now on we are working on this to make it more accurate and develop the ideas. In future, the concept idea will be change and be more specific. We were also thinking about the possibilities of making prototype of this.

Proof of Concept

Above you could see our presentation about the proof of concept and MVP testing. Testing was done to achieve proof that our idea would be supported by user and it would fix the problem we chose. As explained the MVP test was done with the storyboard comic and open discussion about the idea. We asked few opening question for the conversation to start like "What do you think about?". People we interview were all very open minded and very talkative so it was easy kept feedback. We showed the comic to the 4 students (university, vocational school) and to 2 adult students (Adult education center). They were from age 21 to 32, 4 women and 2 men.

Prototype building

Building of the prototype took place in TUT language center were we captured one big table for ourselves and spread all our things. We started with taking measures of our test persons (the dolls) and fixed the part drawings to match this size. After this we decided that everybody should do one proto and after finishing we could choose which one is the best for user evaluation. So, we went to work by using milk cardboard and different size of packets, glue, tape, wire, scissors and box cutter. Everyone took a different route combining the parts for the chair (parts represented in last blog post). It was fun and we discussed on the way if someone had hard to add next part in their design. Ideation

Workshop started with solo ideation. Brainstorming solo brought us seven ideas. After the solo thinking we changed papers and tried to come up ideas based on team mate’s ideas. With this we came up with five ideas. After these parts we looked through all the ideas this was and counted there to be twelve of them. We then added them on board with pots-it notes. Next round of our ideation was reversed brainstorming. Which meant that we had to come up with the most crazy or bad idea we could think of. With this we got seven ideas you can see in the picture. So now we had total of 19 ideas to evaluate. We choose three criteria to find what could be the most useful ideas for us.
